A new start in the UK

Moving to the UK from Ukraine in 2022 was a huge change. I was excited about the opportunities ahead, but I also knew I had a lot to learn as I adapted to a new country, culture and way of working. Joining TechStart gave me the chance to build my confidence, develop my skills and begin a career in technology.

Building skills and confidence

During the programme, I gained hands-on experience working on real projects and learning from people who genuinely wanted to help me succeed. It wasn't just about improving my technical skills. I also learned how to work as part of a professional team, communicate effectively and solve problems in a real business environment. Those experiences gave me the confidence to take the next step in my career.

From TechStart to WebFX

Today, I'm proud to be working as a Web Developer at WebFX. Looking back, TechStart played a huge role in helping me get to where I am. The experience I gained and the support I received prepared me for a professional role and gave me the confidence to believe in my own abilities.

Seeing the world through TechStart

One of the most memorable parts of my journey has been the opportunity to travel internationally. Through TechStart, I've visited countries including Taiwan, South Korea and, most recently, the United States to attend CES in Las Vegas. Being able to experience different cultures while working on innovative projects and attending world leading technology events has been something I never imagined would be possible.
